At the end of the reading, the children were asked to choose their favourite one by pointing to it.

Platypus Mystery Reader Week 9
On Friday our Mystery Reader brought along a favourite book from home called There Was An Old Woman Who Swallowed A Fly.
It was a great pop up picture book and the children enjoyed looking at the pictures. There was also a different ending from the usual version. (The old woman had an operation to remove all the animals!)
Thanks to our Mystery Reader for spending some time with us.

Parent Helpers for Next Term
Dear Parents,
Thank you for returning the blue slips indicating your availability to assist with groups on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for Term 3.
We have enough helpers for the Wednesday group; however, at this stage we don't have the numbers for Tuesday's maths groups.
(We have four helpers already for Tuesday and would need another four to be able to run the activities)
If you are able to help on a Tuesday at 11:00am-11:50am or could possibly swap a Wednesday for a Tuesday we would appreciate it.
Please email Mrs Blake as soon as possible so the roster can be put together and sent home in preparation for Term 3.
Thank you,
Mrs Blake Mrs Collins

Term 2 Week 9 Reminders
Hello Everyone,
We are looking forward to our first Kindergarten excursion on Tuesday.
Please pack a waterproof jacket with a hood or a raincoat with a hood in the children's excursion bag. Umbrellas are not recommended as we will be walking around in groups.
Normal school bags and yellow folder bags do not need to come to school on Tuesday.
Tuesday news group will have time to present their poem/nursery rhyme before we leave on the excursion.
If your child is sick or has been sick during Monday night we request that they do not attend the excursion. If in doubt, please keep them at home as we would rather not risk having to call parents to collect their child from Symbio Park.
We will take lots of photos to show on the blog afterwards.
Sounds Of The Week
A little difficult this week (sorry). The sounds are ' q' as in queen,
' x ' as in x-ray and ' z ' as in zebra.
