Year 5 Teach KPlatypus Students
Last Thursday, Mr Butchatsky and his Year 5 Reading Group prepared a wonderful lesson on the meaning of our National Anthem.
The Year 5 students prepared a powerpoint presentation on their laptops to help explain some of the concepts to Kindergarten.
The small groups spent 10-15 minutes working together and then at the end of the lesson the students sang the National Anthem together.
It was encouraging to see the older students teaching the younger students.
Thank you for visiting us and sharing your knowledge.

Two Notices
Dear Parents,
We have named our hermit crab 'Shellie". Thank you for helping with the notes.
The permission note for the Athletic Carnival has two sides to fill in.
On the back, it has a sausage sizzle and soft drink. Please be aware it should say 'popper' instead.
If your child doesn't want a sausage sandwich they can bring their normal lunch on the day.
Sport houses will be allocated for each student soon. If a student has an older sibling at Inaburra they will put into the same house. This means that they can support their house by wearing the appropriate colour on the day.
Please return the completed permission slips as soon as possible.
Thank you.

Mystery Reader Week 2 Platypus Class
On Friday our Mystery Reader read the story, I Will Not Ever Never Eat A Tomato by Lauren Child.
It was a funny story about how Charlie convinces Lola to eat normal food by changing the names of the food. A great story to read to fussy eaters.
Lauren Child has also written I am not Sleepy and I will not go to bed. Maybe some helpful books for our parents????
