The Platypus and Kangaroo classes had a wonderful time with their teddy bears.
We talked about our bears, their names and why they were special.
Year 5 buddies came over to our rooms after lunch. The children made teddy bear masks, read teddy bear books together and enjoyed a small packet of Tiny Tots.
Tomorrow we will write about our teddies.
Enjoy the photos.

Oz Opera
The children thoroughly enjoyed the Oz Opera performance today.
The story was a modern day twist on The Three Billy Goats Gruff and Cinderella.
There was a lot of laughter from the audience.
A wonderful treat to have the Opera visit Inaburra.
Thanks to Mrs Lee our music teacher for organising the experience.

Platypus Class Mystery Reader
On Friday we had our first grandparent for the year. She read Danny In The Toybox by Richard Tulloch.
It was a lovely story about a little boy who hid in his toybox because something had annoyed him. At the end of the story he couldn't remember why he was in the toybox and came out to enjoy some apricot ice-cream. We had a discussion about why we think he hid and how he resolved his problem.
Thank you to our mystery reader for coming and sharing this book.

Kindy Kangaroo's Mystery Reader.
On Friday afternoon e had our first Mystery reader come to visit. We had a great time listening to the book 'Do Not Open This Book' by Andy Lee. It is such a funny book with a monster trying to convince us not to turn each page. He did not succeed as we did reach the end of the book, which had a funny ending. Thanks for coming.
Platypus Class Mystery Reader
Our first Mystery Reader came to our classroom today.
K Platypus enjoyed listening to the story called This Is A Ball by Beck and Matt Stanton.
It was very funny and the children enjoyed all the 'wrong' words in the book.
Enjoy our photos from Friday afternoon.
We were making monster faces as there was a monster in the book!
