KB Buddies This Week

KB always enjoy time with their buddies. This week 5B were asked to teach KB something 'new' on the Kinder iPads using only the apps available.
They chose from Photo Booth, Puppet Pals 2, Book Creator, Pages, Pic Collage, Memory Skills and practised taking photos.
They were all highly motivated during the session and we will aim to use these skills in future tasks.
Thanks Year 5 buddies!

Hello Everyone,
K-2 had a very enjoyable Book Week visit from the Sutherland Shire librarians.
They talked about the books that had been nominated by the Children's Book Council Of Australia and also acted out two of the books (The Cow That Tripped Over The Moon, Ollie and The Wind)
The children have also been introduced to these books each week in their library lesson.

Recycling or Rubbish?

In Geography this week, Kindergarten learnt about recycling. We looked at what types of things can be recycled and how some of them can be remade into new objects. We then got to sort out Mrs Blake's pile of rubbish. We had to make some hard decisions and we learnt to look for the recycling symbol to see if some items could be recycled.

KB Visits Healthy Harold

Hello Everyone,
KB enjoyed their visit to the Healthy Harold van on Wednesday.
They were encouraged to have good hygiene habits, eat healthy food, hold parent's hands when crossing the road and to swim safely between the flags.
Apologies for the quality of the photos in the van.
Enjoy the slideshow.

KC visits Healthy Harold 2016

On Thursday this week KC had the privilege of going to the Life Education Van and meeting Healthy Harold. It was fantastic to learn about keeping ourselves safe by wearing sunscreen and hats, using a helmet when riding a bike and holding an adults hand when crossing the road. We also learnt about how to stay healthy and about healthy foods and sometimes foods. Being a good friend was also another important topic we talked about. Check out the fun in the first video.

We also had the chance to have an individual photo with  Harold.  Check them out in the next video. We are very cute!

Terrific Tails for 'ai' week

This week in Kindergarten we were looking at the 'ai' sound. So in art we had fun making tails for ourselves. We saw some whale and dolphin tails, mermaids, a tiger, unicorns, a dragon, cheetah and lots of other fun tails.
