More 100 days of Kindergarten

Please enjoy some more photos form our 100 days of Kindergarten celebration. We had a great time. Thanks you to Mrs Cowper for the yummy Inaburra coloured cupcakes.

KC Mystery Reader

On Friday we had our first Grandfather come as our Mystery reader. Harper's Granddad shared 'Secret Agent Splat! (Splat the Cat)' by  Rob Scotton  with us. It was great to have another book from the Splat the cat series read to us. it was great to imagine being secret agents and what kind of Gizmo's we might have to help us. Thanks Harper's Granddad.

Week 2 Term 3 Reminders

Sound Of The Week
This week we will be talking about 'th' as in thumb. Put on your 'thinking caps' for this one! and hopefully you can find some things from around the house.

News Topic
Talk about your grandparents and some things you like to do with them. You may bring in a photo or email one to help with your topic.

Cake Day
Please check the Parent Portal for the note about cake day on Friday. Remember your 50c for a cake on Friday (Year 2's turn to supply the cakes)

Grandparent's Day On Thursday 4 August
Please check the Parent Portal for the details. If a grandparent cannot attend on the day, a friend or another relative may attend instead.
An extract from the note.
12:00pm- 12:15pm - Classrooms will be open should you wish to visit
12:00pm- 12:50pm - Picnic Lunch in the Junior School playground
1:00pm – 2:15pm  - Student Concert in the Performing Arts Centre

We are asking that grandparents supply a picnic lunch for themselves, which they can eat with
their grandchildren. They should also bring a bottle of water, hat, sunglasses and their
chairs or rugs for the picnic. The weather can be very cold and windy – so ‘rug up’!

KB Mystery Reader

On Friday we had Mr Gordon visit KB as the Mystery Reader.
He read The Very Cranky Bear by Nick Bland. It was a funny story and we enjoyed Mr Gordon's big growl for the bear part.
Thanks for spending some time with us on Friday.

KB Mystery Reader Week 10

Today we had Ethan's mum visit KB and read Pig The Pug by Aaron Blabey. It is a delightful book about a dog who doesn't want to share his toys with his friend. He learns the hard way in the end. A good talking point about sharing our possessions with others.
Thank you Mrs Gerovissilis for spending some time with KB.

End Of Term 2

Hello Everyone,
It's hard to believe that we have reached the end of another term and that Kindergarten are now half way through their first year of school.

If you were able to join us at the assembly today (Friday), you would agree that it was wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements made throughout the term.
Congratulations to those children who received their Principal's Award.
Apologies for the quality of the photos in a dimly lit PAC and if any children were missed in the line up.

We would like to wish all our families a very safe and restful break.
Enjoy the precious time together.

Mrs Nicole Collins    Mrs Leanne Blake
