Inaburra Picasso Cow project

Hello Everyone,
At Friday's assembly, Mrs Davis presented the Picasso Cow project to the Junior School.
We will be involved in learning about the importance of dairy, designing pictures to paint on the cow and naming the cow. If you can think of a name for our cow, write it on some paper and pop it into the cow box.
See the video below for more information.

Principal Awards on Friday

Congratulations to those children in Kindergarten who received their first Principal Award on Friday.

Reminders for Term 3 Week 2

Hello Everyone,
Kindergarten has had a busy first week back. We are enjoying the new carpet in the classrooms, especially the special blue carpets in the pit.
This term Kindergarten will be looking at Eric Carle and some of his books. We are also going to attempt some Eric Carle inspired artwork. In Science, we are doing a unit called "Weather in our World". Last week's weather has given us lots to talk about.
We will be learning about families in a historical context this term. We would appreciate your assistance with filling out a survey and other sources of information in the weeks to come.

The Sound of Week  is 'sh' as in shark. Please bring in something for the sound of the week table.

Reminders Term 3, Week 1

Hello Everyone,
We hope you all had a wonderful break and were able to stay warm at home when we had those very cold days.
On our professional development days last week, we were excited to see our new carpet being laid in the Kinder rooms (and other infants rooms). The rooms look and smell brand new.
To help preserve the carpets could we ask that the crunch and sip food is a small portion, cut up and not too messy. Thanks!

Reading Groups
There will be no reading groups on Monday due to unforeseen circumstances, however there will be groups on Tuesday and Thursday.

News Topic
Talk about your holiday. Bring in an item or some photos to assist the talk.

Sound Of The Week
Our sound of the week is 'ch' as in chicken, cheese, chips etc. Please bring in something for our sound table.

Library Bag
Remember to bring your library bag on Monday.

Names and Labels
Please check that all scarves, gloves and extra jumpers and vests are labelled with the children's names. We find at this time of the year there is a lot of lost property.

Next week (2) we will be holding the interviews on Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 July. Please bring the portfolio to the interview and any questions you would like to ask us.
